The Kunhu Hotel is a stone's throw from the railway station on one of the busiest sections of Beijing Lu. Although not far from other big name hotels such as the Golden Dragon Hotel and the Westin Kunming, it still appeals to some travelers for its budget rooms. Besides the availability of cheap beds which start at RMB25 a bed in a three bed dormitory style room, the hotel offers a full range of travel related services, including ticket booking, bicycle rental, and travel information. The hotel travel agency also organize tour groups and convenient one day tours. On top of this, a laundry service is also available in this backpacker paradise. All that said, the Kunhu also has reasonable standard hotel rooms, but they are not such  good value for money.
